The 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer says love is an "obstacle" he has yet to fully master.

Chris Brown says he is still "learning" about love and has denied the public's perception of him as a "player" with women.

The 'Turn Up The Music' singer, who has recently been linked to a reconciliation with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, opened up about his personal life in a new interview, one of his first major features for the past two years.

"One thing people often want me to talk about is my public life," Chris Brown explains in the December issue of XXL magazine. "When it comes to my love life, the perception seems as though I am a player. But that's not true.

"Love is something I am still learning," the R&B star continued. "It's just an obstacle that I haven't yet mastered. I think that's my biggest hurdle in life."

'Don't Judge Me' singer Chris also opened up somewhat about the recent nightclub altercation between himself and Canadian rapper Drake, reported to have been about their respective relationships with 'We Found Love' singer Rihanna.

"A lot of people wanna know about the whole situation with me, Drake and Meek Mill," Chris teased. "At the end of the day, I"m me, they're them. They rap, I sing. Totally different caliber. I rap, I play around on mix tapes. But our words don't collie as much as you'd think."

Chris Brown is preparing to announce full details of his sixth studio album after promising the record will be out "soon" and hinting at 'X' potentially being the album's title.
