Cheryl Cole says she is "so proud" of her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh, after jetting back to the UK to watch the singer's final night starring in Shrek: The Musical.

The 'Call My Name' singer spent less than 48 hours at Cannes Film Festival over the weekend so she could join her fellow girl band stars, including Sarah Harding, for the last night of Kimberley's eight month West End run as Fiona in the popular musical show.

"I am SO PROUD OF @KimberleyJWalsh .. How can u love someone so much :/," Cheryl tweeted earlier today (22nd May). ".. And it is really Amazing to watch somebody grow and blossom from a teenage girl into an Amazing young woman."

The 'Parachute' singer posed for pictures with her fellow Girls Aloud star before the performance, amid rumours the five-piece band are preparing to reunite for a charity single later this year to mark their tenth anniversary.

Cheryl Cole is currently preparing to launch her third studio album 'A Million Lights' which is due out on 18th June.
