The Canadian star's smash hit 'Call Me Maybe' has claimed a ninth consecutive week at the top of the US chart rundown.
Carly Rae Jepsen has claimed the longest running Billboard Hot 100 number one of the year with her hit single 'Call Me Maybe'.
The 'Good Time' star scored her ninth consecutive week at the top of the chart with her global smash beating the record previously set by Gotye for 'Somebody That I Used To Know'.
This week's chart also saw Maroon 5 slip out of the top three for the first time with their 'Overexposed' single 'Payphone' taking the firth spot.
Ellie Goulding jumped three spots to take the number two position with her single 'Lights'.
Elsewhere on the chart, Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' falls to four, Rihanna remains at seven with 'Where Have You Been' and Pink's 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)' makes up the top ten.

The latest chart triumph for the 26 year-old star comes after she announced the release of her new album 'Kiss'.
The record will feature her hit single as well as her Owl City collaboration 'Good Time'.
She has also confessed to working with Justin Bieber, Fun and LMFAO's RedFoo on tracks for inclusion on the album.
