The 'I Gotta Feeling' rapper has launched a new charity venture to help build 10,000 new classrooms in the Philippines.
Black Eyed Peas star apl.de.ap has launched a new charity auction to raise money towards helping raise education standards in his native country of the Philippines.
The 'Boom Boom Pow' rapper, who is the country's educational ambassador, launched the Charity Dreams auction this week and hopes to build 10,000 new classrooms with proceeds from the benefit event.
The auction has already started preregistration and will see bidders pay an initial fee of 99 cents before bidding on the exclusive prize begins at $0.
Bidders have the potential to win a huge prize package including a private flight to Los Angeles to watch apl.de.ap make a custom track for them, having the rapper DJ at their birthday party, winning a 2012 collector's edition Ferrari and spending New Year's Eve with fellow Black Eyed Peas star Fergie.
Apl.de.ap's new philanthropic venture comes just over a week after will.i.am premiered the music video for his new single 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever), taken from the rapper's upcoming solo album '#willpower'.
In November the Black Eyed Peas denied claims they are splitting up during an appearance on US chat show Ellen and insisted they are just taking a short hiatus to work on other solo projects before reuniting to begin work on the follow-up to fifth album 'The E.N.D.'.
The Charity Dreams auction is due to run up until 21st December.
