Mac Miller has spoken for the first time since his split from Ariana Grande, which saw her getting engaged to Pete Davidson within a month of their relationship ending, and he says he didn't even know it had happened...

Ariana Grande's ex Mac Miller has broken his silence over his split with the singer and her subsequent engagement to comedian Pete Davidson- something he says he didn't know had happened as he stays off the 'evil' internet.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Apple Music, the rapper admitted he 'kind of knew' about the intensity of their relationship, but he wasn't fully aware of the situation, saying: "Like, I haven't been on the internet. So, you know, people have assumed that I'm ... 'Are you okay? Is everything okay?"

More optimistically, Mac said he isn't angry or upset about the situation, saying: "The whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative [...] I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me".

The pair were together for more than two years, and it emerged soon after their split that Mac had been struggling with sobriety- crashing his car whilst under the influence and being arrested.
