The 'New Day' singer performed a unique version of her chart hit to celebrate the start of Obama's second term.
Alicia Keys paid tribute to US President Barack Obama at his Inauguration Ball last night by reworking the lyrics of her hit single 'Girl On Fire' in his honour.
The 'Empire State Of Mind' singer changed the lyrics of her recent song to 'Obama's On Fire', as she led the audience through a powerful performance to celebrate Obama being sworn in for a second term as US President.
Alicia's performance saw her open with the song 'New Day' after praising the positive "energy" surrounding the President's re-election.
"Today is an incredible day and you can feel the energy everywhere that you go," the US star announced. "In so many ways, everyday is a new day and a new chance to be our best, to serve our highest purpose."
The Inauguration Ball also saw Jennifer Hudson sing a cover of the Al Green classic 'Let's Stay Together', while Jamie Foxx also performed at the event.
Earlier in the day, at the official inauguration ceremony, Beyonce gave a powerful performance of US National Anthem 'The Star Spangled Banner' to celebrate the occasion.
