The 'Someone Like You' star posts a message to her followers from New York.
Adele has posted a message on Twitter for the first time.
The '21' star, who is currently recovering from throat surgery, has always relied on her management to update her Twitter feed.
But Adele wrote an update for fans earlier today (5th December) after challenging 10,000 of her followers to start following a charity's Twitter account.
The 'Someone Live You' singer's first update included a picture of her posing alongside the poster for Beyonce's new live DVD 'Live At Roseland'.
She wrote: "F*ck me that was quick!ThankU! I'm in bed, watchin Gladiator, eatin an apple. Heres a pic of me&Queen B last wk in NYC!X"
Earlier this month, Adele confirmed she was on the mend following successful throat surgery in the US.
"Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," Adele posted on her official blog. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all.
"The operation was a success and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors."
