York Man In Coma After Assault

A 35-year-old man has serious head injuries after being found on playing in Clifton in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police say they think he may have been laying there injured for up to two hours before he was found.
Three local men aged 19, 21 and 36 have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody for questioning.
Inspector Ian Dyer from of York CID, said: "As a result of this incident there is a man fighting for his life in hospital. We are currently working to establish the full circumstances and I would like to thank the people who have already come forward with information that has been very helpful to the investigation so far.
"However, I am urging anyone else who saw anything suspicious in the area of Burton Green or Kingsway North either late on Monday 28 May or in the early hours of Tuesday 29 May to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible."
