Voting's underway in the Barnsley Central by-election, which was brought on by the resignation of former MP Eric Illsley. Mr Illsley has held the seat in South Yorkshire since 1987, but quit last month after falsely claiming £14,000 in expenses.

Nine candidates are running with polling due to close at 10pm. The winner is expected to be announced tomorrow morning.
