Teacher's Tribute To Schoolgirl

The headteacher of a school in Hull where a pupil has died on a school trip has released a personal tribute.

Jessica Lawson was quite simply a delightful student who lived life to the full and fully immersed herself in all aspects of school.

She was a bright girl who applied herself in all lessons and as a consequence she was well liked by staff who found her a pleasure to have in their class.

Jessica was popular with students and staff alike, her attendance was excellent and her tutor commented on Jessica’s recent report about her ‘willingness to get to know other students and work with them.’

This reflects her caring and thoughtful nature; she will be sorely missed by everyone at the school.

As a parent myself I can only begin to imagine the pain felt by her parents and family at her death at such a young age and I hope that in time they can take great comfort from the many wonderful memories they all have of the happy times they had together.

I would like to express our deepest sympathy as a school community to Jessica’s parents and family on the loss of Jessica, she will not be forgotten.
