Bradford Murder Victim Named

The mans who's body was found in a burning house has been named as Amjad Hussain.

Fire crews were called the house on Rylestone Gardens in Bradford on Thursday to put out a fire, they then found the body of 28-year-old Amjad Hussain.

West Yorkshire Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery and are appealing for crucial information from the public to uncover just why someone would attack him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and Police have launched a major investigation into the death of the Bradford man who is a husband and father, and was believed to work for a local takeaway.

A post mortem will be conducted.

It is believed he was the only person in the house at the time of the fire and specialist detectives are now comforting his relatives.

Det Supt Paul Taylor of the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, who is leading the investigation, said: "We know where this happened and when it happened, we now need to know why it happened.

"The victim was a much loved husband and father was brutally attacked in his own home and I am appealing to the public of Bradford to provide the vital clues we need to understand why someone would do this."

He added: "I would like to speak to friends, colleagues or anyone who may have known the victim to help us explain why this incident took place."
