A service is being held in Bradford this morning to mark 31 years since a fire at Valley Parade killed 56 people.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Joanne Dodds, will be at the memorial sculpture in City Park at 11am, accompanied by the Mayor and Mayoress of Lincoln.

Bradford City were playing Lincoln City in their last home match of the season in 1985 when the fire ripped through the ground killing 54 Bradford City fans, two Lincoln City fans and injuring many more.

Martin Fletcher was at the stadium as a 12 year old boy. He lost his brother, dad, granddad and uncle in the fire.

He's been sharing his memories of the day with Heart.
