A cash machine's been taken when a stolwe 4 by 4 was used to smash into the Post Office at Cottingley Vale last Friday.

Officers believe that a silver Mitsubishi stolen from Cleckheaton, was used by the suspects and reversed through the front shutters of the building dislodging an internal cash machine containing over £5,000.

Once the cash machine had been loaded into the vehicle the suspects are thought to have left the area via Cottingley Drive onto the A610 Beeston Ring Road.

Police later found the vehicle abandoned on Parkway, Gildersome, where officers believe the three to four male suspects left the area in a second vehicle.

The remnants of the cash machine were found by a member of the public on Rooms Lane, Morley on Saturday morning. Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward but are particularly looking for any witnesses to the points during the robbery where vehicles were taken or abandoned.
