It's time to pick out and iron (really!) your favourite red shirt, grab your best mates and head to Pontefract Races for their Red Shirt Charity Night and Beer Festival on Friday 15th July!
We bet you'll have a great night as Pontefract Races celebrates the final evening race meeting of the season with a Beer Festival showcasing some of the finest beers, lagers and ciders from local Pennine Brewery, Ossett Brewery, Revolutions Brewing and the Beer Huis.
There's six exciting races to enjoy plus a real festival atmosphere with fantastic cover bands belting out your favourite tracks.
So why is it called Red Shirt Night? It was jockey Jack Berry's lucky symbol and all the money raised from the night will go towards the Jack Berry Appeal for The House That Jack Built - an injured jockey rehabilitation centre.
