JT in NYC ON AIR COMPETITION
ON THE CAPITAL NETWORK
SEPTEMBER 29TH -> OCTOBER 3RD 2014
The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/ apply to the ‘JT in NYC’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday September 29th 2014 to Friday October 3rd 2014 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is: The Capital Network.
Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1. 0 Details of the Competition
To enter the competition, an entrant must:
1.1 Identify and text in, when they hear a Justin Timberlake track played in full on the Capital Network between 10am and 4pm from Monday 29th September to Thursday 2nd October, and between 10am and 3pm on Friday 3rd October.
1.2 Send a text message with the keyword TIMBERLAKE and their name to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at £1.00 plus standard network rate.
1.3 The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on-air by the presenter(s). If you text after the closing time you will not be entered but may still be charged. Global Radio is not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network which may delay the delivery of your text message to us.
1.4 Once the text lines have closed, one entrant with a correct entry will be selected at random from all entries and called back on the mobile number from which they entered. A call will be recorded with the winner of the competition round and played out on-air.
1.5 All winners will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If entrants fail to answer their phone, are driving, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another contestant will be selected at random. The producer’s decision is final.
1.6 There will be 4 competition Rounds played each weekday between the times listed in 1.1. The winner of each competition round will win a prize of a £50 iTunes voucher and will also go forward into the ‘grand prize draw’ for the main prize. There will be 20 competition rounds played in total. From time to time it may be necessary to delay or cancel a competition round for editorial or programming reasons. If there is no solicitation made on-air for competition entries the competition for that round will be void. If you enter during this time your entry will not be counted but may still be charged
1.7 The Grand Prize Draw will take place after 3pm on Friday 3rd October 2014 and one Grand Winner will be selected at random from all 20 individual competition round winners. The Grand winner will be called on the number from which they initially entered the competition and will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the Grand Winner fails to answer their phone, is driving, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during this call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, then another Grand Winner will be selected at random. The producer’s decision is final.
2) Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
2.2 You can enter each individual Competition Round a maximum of 3 times. We strongly advise against excessive use.
2.3 Competition Round winners are excluded from entering other Competition Rounds. For the avoidance of doubt, a Competition Round winner may only win one Competition Round and will be disqualified from winning any subsequent Competition Rounds.
2.4 Entrants must have a valid passport with 6 months validity after the return date of travel and must not be excluded from travel to the US.
2.5 Entrants must be able to travel between Friday 12th December and Tuesday 16th December 2014.
3) Prize
3.1 In each Competition Round, the prize will be a £50 iTunes voucher and a ‘ticket’ into the Main Prize Draw, which will be held on Friday 3rd October 2014.
3.2 The iTunes voucher will be issued in the form of an email voucher and the winner must have a valid email address to receive the voucher.
3.3 The Main Prize is 1 pair of tickets to Justin Timberlake Live at The Barclays Center, New York on Sunday 14th December 2014, Return flights for 2 people to New York, Return private transfers from the US Airport to the US Hotel, 4 nights accommodation at a centrally located 4* Hotel in Manhattan, ESTA fees for two people and Travel Insurance.
3.4 Winner and friend must be available to travel on Friday 12th December 2014 and return on Tuesday 16th December 2014. Flights must include a Saturday night stay in your destination. Departure airport used will be dependent on the direct availability from the winners nearest international airport, which may not necessarily be the winners nearest. Non UK passports holders may need a visa for this destination, which they should arrange with the Embassy at their own expense. Includes all taxes and surcharges.
3.5 At least one person travelling must be over the age of 21 years.
3.6 Hotel is classed as a 4 star and is based on two people sharing a twin room with ensuite facilities on a room only basis.
3.7 Tickets will be for the dates stated only and are non-transferrable. Tickets are subject to availability at the time of purchase.
3.8 For all US trips, UK Passport holders must hold a valid ESTA (electronic tourist visa) from the US Embassy, which can be applied for a minimum of 72 hours prior to travel. Anyone not holding an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception. It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with the ESTA visa requirements of the United States of America. Approval is at the discretion of the US Embassy and NDL Group cannot be held responsible for this being rejected.
3.9 Travel insurance is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered. No age restrictions apply.
3.10 The prize is non-transferrable and no cash alternative is available.
3.11 Global Radio reserves the right to change the prize or any part of it at any time.
