Mademoiselle Robot

I am originally from Paris but have been living in London for the past 10 years. I worked as a video games journalist for four years before moving to the UK. I started my blog in 2007 and have lived off it since. I currently work as a freelance photographer and editorial consultant.

Style tips

I think the wisest style tip I could give anyone would be to follow their gut (and what the mirror tells them) rather than blindly following trends. Dress for yourself and for your shape rather than for whatever magazines tell you. As for beauty: less is more, always.

bang bang vintage

Bang bang!

I found two of my favourite pieces in Bang Bang on Goodge Street: a vintage Burberry trench coat and an Aquascutum blazer. Both are perfect heritage pieces and they should last me a lifetime. That’s exactly what I look for when I buy clothes.

sport chic

Sports-chic

I am quite into the whole sports-chic thing, but don’t let the trend wear you! Take some bits away with you and mix them in with your existing style. No need to become Sporty Spice just yet. Try swapping your jeans for chic joggers or drawstring waist silk trousers and replace your denim jacket with a light bomber on chilly summer nights.

 Debbie Harry

Blondie

I would have to say Debbie Harry the lead singer of Blondie - her wardrobe seems to be mostly black, white and denim with a great biker jacket on top. Totally timeless.
