RULES
1. The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/) apply to Fast and Furious 7 competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday 30th March 2015 to Thursday 2nd April 2015 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is the Capital Network.
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
Details of the Competition:
3. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message as directed by the presenter on air to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
4. On Monday 30th March, the presenter will play out 7 seconds of a song, and will ask listeners to identify the song either by title or artist – the presenter will say each day which one it will be. Entrants will need to text their answer as per clause 3 of these terms and conditions.
5. From all correct entrants, one will be randomly selected and brought to air.
6. The entrant will have to answer the question correctly for the chance to come back the following day to identify another track. This will occur Monday-Thursday of the competition.
7. If the entrant gets the answer wrong on any day of the competition, then they immediately lose and the text lines will be reopened (as per clause 3 of these terms and conditions) for listeners to send in their answer for their chance to be picked at random, taken to air to give the correct answer to the question and subsequently come to air to play the following day.
8. The entrant who is on air and answers the final question correctly on Thursday 2nd April will be declared the winner and awarded the prize on air.
9. All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter/producer and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the caller doesn’t answer their phone, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, or cannot continue the call for any reason, the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.
Eligibility:
10. All entrants must be 18 years or over and hold a valid passport, or be eligible to obtain one in time for travel. Entrants must be eligible to enter the USA through the ESTA program or an alternative entry method.
11. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be removed.
Prize:
12. The prize is one trip to Universal Studios Hollywood for one winner and up to three guests, including:
• Prize winner (“Winner”) will receive a five (5) day, four (4) night trip for Winner and up to three (3) Guests (“Guests”) to Universal Studios Hollywood.
• Trip will include round trip economy class air transportation for Winner and up to three (3) Guests from a major UK international airport nearest Winner’s home (as determined by Prize Provider in their sole discretion) to Los Angeles, CA*;
• Four (4) nights standard hotel accommodation (one room, quadruple occupancy, room and tax only) at Universal Sheraton (or at another on-site hotel as determined by the Prize Provider in their sole discretion);
• Non-exclusive ground transportation to and from airport and hotel in Los Angeles, CA*;
• General Admission Passes for two (2) days admission to Universal Studios Hollywood for Winner and up to three (3) Guests.
• ESTA Fees are included and provided as a cheque to cover the winner and up to three guests.
13. If Winner elects to partake in any or all portions of his/her Prize with fewer than three (3) Guests or no Guest, the Prize will be awarded to Winner and each participating Guest and any remainder of the Prize will be forfeited and shall not be subject to further or alternative compensation.
14. All elements of the Prize must be redeemed at the same time, and no changes will be permitted after confirmation of any redemption.
15. Unless child of winner, each travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. If winner is a minor in his/her state of residence, at least one (1) travel companion must be winner’s parent/legal guardian.
16. Travel companions may be asked to execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents.
17. Specific travel dates and arrangements are subject to air travel, holiday, blackout dates, and other prize and travel restrictions. Travel dates are subject to Prize Provider and Sponsor approval. Trip must be completed within one (1) year of the end date of the promotion or Prize will be forfeited. Trip must be booked at least sixty (60) days prior to intended departure date. Travel arrangements must be made through Prize Provider. Reservations are subject to availability.
18. Prize consists only of the elements expressly set forth above; no other elements or expenses (including, without limitation, insurance, meals, unspecified ground transportation, phone calls, gratuities, incidentals, souvenirs, gasoline, etc.) are included in the Prize and all such expenses are the sole responsibility of Winner.
19. Winner is responsible for any air travel taxes and/or expenses, including applicable departure taxes or fees, inspection charges, and security charges.
20. Once issued, tickets are non-transferable and may not be reissued once travel has commenced. Open tickets may not be issued and stopovers are not permitted. Prize Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets.
21. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
22. Global reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.
