Terms and conditions for ‘Capital’s Check In’ on the Capital Network, May 2017
RULES:
1. The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/) (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions apply to the ‘Check In With Capital’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run on Saturday 17th June 2017 and Sunday 18th June across the Capital Network (the “Radio Station”).
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.
Details of the Competition:
3. Listeners will be required to answer a question posed by the presenter(s) on-air and send a text message to the radio station with a specified keyword and answer.
4. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with the word WIN and their answer to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”. Text messages will be charged at £1.00 plus your standard network rates.
5. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
6. If listeners text after the closing time, they will not be entered but may still be charged. Global Radio is not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network, which may delay the delivery of your text message to us.
7. Once the text lines have closed, one winner will be selected at random from all the correct entries and called back. A call will be recorded with the winner and played out on air.
8. All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and the conversation recorded and played on-air. If the caller fails to answer a return call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, cannot continue the call for any reason or the phone line is not of a suitable quality for broadcast (at the discretion of the producer) the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.
9. There will be a maximum of 2 competition rounds per day broadcast across the Capital Network. Capital reserves the right to broadcast additional competition rounds when required. Competition rounds will be announced in advance by the presenter(s) on air. Capital reserves the right to take the game off air at times when programming output requires it.

11. Multiple entries are permitted up to a maximum of 3 entries per round; any additional entries above this limit will be excluded from the Competition. We strongly advise against excessive use.
Prize:
12. The prize destination will be announced by the presenter(s) on-air prior to opening the text message lines.
13. The prize is valid on a return British Airways flight departing from London Gatwick (LGW) only and can only be redeemed on the destination stated at the point of entering the competition.
14. Travel on British Airways codeshare and alliance partner airlines and franchises is not permitted.
15. Travel must be completed by 30/05/2018.
16. Booking of seats is subject to availability and requested dates may be declined for commercial reasons, particularly peak travel dates such as school holidays.
17. Reservation changes are not permitted after tickets have been confirmed and issued.
18. Tickets are not transferable, have no cash value and are not for resale.
19. Tickets are booked in World or Euro Traveller (Economy)
20. No Avios or Tier points can be gained through this prize.
21. Passengers must be travel together.
22. Travel insurance, car hire, accommodation and entry visas must be arranged independently by the winner.
23. On acceptance of this prize, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the above terms and conditions.
24. For the avoidance of doubt, travel to and from London Gatwick in the UK is not included and will be at the winners’ own expense.
25. Transfers in the destination location may not private and could be shared with other passengers.
26. Hotels are subject to availability at the discretion of the organiser and excludes Christmas, New Year, Valentines, Easter, School Holidays and Bank Holidays (both UK and destination country).
27. Hotels are classed as a 4 Star and are based on two adults sharing a twin or double room (winner’s choice) with ensuite bathroom on a room only basis (unless otherwise stipulated).
28. Prize also includes Tourism Tax where applicable for the duration of the winner’s stay, payable locally to the hotel upon check-out.
29. Should the stated hotel be unavailable at the time of booking, the promoter reserves the right to substitute with a hotel of equal value.
30. In the US and the Caribbean, at least one guest must be over the age of 21.
31. For all US trips, UK Passport holders must hold a valid ESTA (electronic tourist visa) from the US Embassy, which can be applied for a minimum of 72 hours prior to travel. Anyone not holding an ESTA will be deported from the US upon arrival without exception. It is the winner’s responsibility to comply with the ESTA visa requirements of the United States of America. Approval is at the discretion of the US Embassy and the promoter cannot be held responsible for this being rejected.
32. Travel insurance, if provided, is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered. No age restrictions apply.
33. All prizes must be claimed and booked by the prize winner within 12 months from the date of our initial correspondence with them, allowing travel to be completed by 30/05/2018.
34. Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
35. Each individual round prize must be won by a separate entrant.
36. Prize is non transferrable and no alternative is available.
