Wales Head Coach Warren Gatland is just one of the well-known names on the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

65 people feature on the Wales list, with 2 receiving CBEs, 8 awarded OBEs, 32 awarded MBEs and 22 receiving British Empire Medals.

The New Zealander has been awarded an OBE for his services to rugby, just a few months after getting an honorary doctorate.

Welsh singer Cerys Matthews has also been honoured with an MBE for her services to music.

Secretary of State for Wales David Jones said:

"I'm delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to everyone recognised in today's Queen's Birthday Honours list.

"Every year, hundreds of people who serve their communities and country - often without expectation of reward - are honoured in this way. They are selected for their dedication, commitment and tireless work in helping to improve the lives of others."

"It is always so uplifting to hear of the good work being done by those honoured, and to see the positive difference they make to our nation. I am proud to add my thanks and congratulations to them all."

Among others to be honoured is Sybil Williams, for her voluntary service to children and adults with disabilities.

She set up charity Pedal Power in 2000 to give less abled people the opportunity to ride a bike and said she was shocked when she found out:

"It was probably about 5 weeks ago now, a letter came through the door on a Saturday morning and there it was."

"It was a real surprise, I'm really pleased. Really I think it's the people working in the charity - the staff and the volunteers - that have helped to make this award possible."
