Yarmouth Crash Death: Man Arrested

A man's been arrested over the death of a woman from the Isle of Wight in a car crash.

Rachel Titley, 28, of St Saviours Road in Totland, died after the blue Daihatsu Quore she was driving was in collision with a red Citroen Xsara on the A3054 in Yarmouth at 9.38pm on Friday 11 October 2013.

Rachel was taken to hospital but subsequently died of her injuries.

Hampshire Police say the 26-year-old man driving the Citroen was arrested on Wednesday 16 October, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He was bailed until 12 March 2014.

Paying tribute to her, her parents John and Christine and family said:

"Our unique Rachel. Special in every way. Loved by everyone whose life she touched."

Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle driving prior to it.
