Three men have been charged with attempted murder, after a stabbing in Fareham.
A 46-year-old man is recovering from emergency surgery following the attack in woodland near The Gillies on Friday night (20 February).
John Nathaniel Morris, aged 23, of Bishopsfield Road, Fareham; Ian Hawkins, aged 46, of Bishopsfield Road, Fareham; and Keith Eric Brian Hawkins, aged 26, from Dalton in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire have all been charged with attempted murder.
They have all been remanded into custody and will appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Monday 23 February).
At 9.52pm on Friday, police attended a scene near to woodland by Fareham Railway Station after responding to a report of a man found laying with serious injuries in West Street.
The victim had to undergo emergency surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital and is currently recovering.
District Commander, Chief Inspector James Pegler, said:
"Officers responded swiftly and administered first aid to the victim before he was taken to hospital. Three men located near the scene were arrested, we are not looking for anyone else in connection to this incident and there is no wider threat to the public."
