Teenagers Attacked In Alton

Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenage boys were attacked as they walked home.

Between 8.50pm and 9.15pm on Friday, July 22, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were walking through the alleyways around Nursery Road, Park Close Road, and Lansdowne Road, when they were set upon by a group of five or six other people.

The victims were repeatedly punched in the face before the group made off. They both sustained bruising and other minor injuries..

One of the attackers is described as white, of large build, about 5ft 7ins tall and was wearing a grey hooded-top. He had blond shaved hair and facial stubble.

Another is described as white, aged between 16 and 20, of a skinny build and was wearing a bright blue t-shirt and a white cap.

Another is described as white, aged between 17 and 20, at least 5ft 7ins tall and of a thin build.

PC Daniel Stork-Banks said:

"This was an unprovoked attack where the victims were followed before being repeatedly punched.

"At this time of night there may have been people out in the area who may have seen something."
