Sales Assistant Attacked In New Look

Police have released CCTV images of a group of people who attacked a shop worker at a branch of New Look in Southampton.

It happened on December 26th about 2.45pm. The 44-year-old at the Shirley branch in Shirley High Street had spotted a woman in the group she believed was trying to shoplift and she asked them to leave.

They then started shouting at her and three of the group then began attacking her.

The victim was hit and pushed several times and fell to the floor. A man, who was in the shop as a customer at the time, helped to push the group outside. The victim had to have medical treatment for her injuries and as well as bruising suffered a fractured nose.

The three people who police want to speak to about the attack can be seen in the CCTV stills.
