Saints Striker Picks Up Top Award

Rickie Lambert has been named Championship Player of the Year at the Football League awards.

The Football League has announced the full list of winners for The Football League Awards 2012, the annual awards ceremony that celebrates on and off pitch excellence across The League's 72 clubs.

A total of 32 clubs were shortlisted for this season's Awards.

The coveted npower Player of the Year Award for the Championship went to Southampton's Rickie Lambert.

The 30-year-old's scored 25 goals for Saints so far this season.

Pompey didn't leave empty handed, they picked up two awards, including Tokio Marine Family Club of the Year and picked up the regional award for Community Club of the Year.
