Robbers Barge Into Southampton Home

Officers investigating a robbery at a property in Caerleon Drive, Bitterne, are releasing an e-fit image in an effort to identify one of the men involved.

At around 9.05pm on Friday, February 3 a group of four men forced entry to a house where a couple aged in their 50s live. Both were at home at the time of the incident.

The group of men demanded money and one of them punched and kicked one of the occupants of the house. The group then looked around the house before leaving, taking an Apple iPad with them..

The man who was assaulted suffered swelling and bruising to his face and suspected cracked ribs as a result of the incident.

The man who carried out the assault, and whose likeness has been recreated in the e-fit image, is described as:
Black
Aged 24
5ft 7ins tall
Slim build
Spoke in ‘slang’ (likened to the character Fatboy from BBC1 soap Eastenders)
A slim, oval face, with a smooth, clear complexion
Brown eyes
Long narrow nose
Wearing a black hooded jumper, black jogging bottoms that were elasticated at the ankle and black trainers
Behaved in a calm, and gentle manner, despite aggressive actions

Another man from the group is described as:
Aged 24-25
6ft 1ins tall
Slim build, appeared toned
Of Asian appearance
Brown eyes, long eyelashes
Wearing a grey knitted scarf that covered the lower half of his face, and a dark coloured hooded jumper with the hood pulled up
Had a tattoo of writing that went from his right wrist up his forearm, and looked like it may have been Gaelic

PC Danielle Daltry said, “We are currently carrying out a number of lines of enquiry around this incident. We believe the group ran away from the address and so we’d like to speak to any one who was in the area at the timeand may have seen these people, perhaps around Bursledon Road or Upper Deacon Drive. This was a shocking experience for the people involved and we want to identify those responsible as soon as possible."
