Pet Cat Found 6 Years After Going Missing!

The owner of a cat which disappeared six years ago has spoken of her delight and surprise after finding him walking in the street.

Black-and-white Charlie went missing from the home of Jo and Ade Haigh in Stubbington, Hampshire.

But when Mrs Haigh, who had moved out of the area, went to view a house with her mother near their previous home, she spotted her former pet.

She took the cat to the Stubbington Ark animal rescue centre where she works as a receptionist and a microchip check confirmed it was Charlie.

Mrs Haigh, 34, said she had taken Charlie, who was seven weeks old when they got him and is now 16, back to their current home in Titchfield Common where he is settling in well.

She told the Portsmouth News newspaper: "I was shocked to start with that I had even come across him.

He's eating and using his litter tray and seems quite content, and slowly getting back into it.

We haven't let him out again so far. We will eventually, but I don't know when I'll be brave enough."
