Mechanic Denies Inciting Violence On Facebook

A mechanic pleaded not guilty today to inciting violent disorder on Facebook during last summer's riots in England.

Mitchel Stancombe, 20, of Kingsley Gardens, Totton, Hampshire, denied the allegation under section 44 of the Serious Crime Act 2007 that he intended to encourage and assist in an offence during August this year by posting messages on the social networking site.

Sitting at Southampton Crown Court, Judge Gary Burrell QC granted Stancombe bail and adjourned the case for trial at the same court on February 28 next year.
