Southampton Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A man's been charged with attemped murder after a stabbing in Southampton.

Shortly after 2pm on Saturday 2 November, a 37-year-old man sustained stab wounds to his abdomen, outside a house near McDonald's in Burgess Road.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Mark Motteram, aged 45, of Burgess Road in Southampton, has been charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Monday 4 November.
