Man Needs Stitches After Southampton Attack

Police in Southampton are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old youth and his friend was attacked by a group of six other youths in Southampton.

It happened outside Staples on West Quay Road sometime between 11 and 11.30pm on Friday, March 23.
 
The six youths had earlier had a disagreement with the main victim and his friend in McDonalds on the West Quay Retail Park.
 
The main victim was kicked to the ground in the attack and ended up needing 15 stitches to a face wound. Two of his teeth were also damaged in the assault. His friend was also punched and kicked and was left with bruises and grazes fromthe incident.
 
Officers believe there would have been lots of people around at the time as it was a Friday night and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them who either saw the attack or the earlier disagreement at McDonalds.

Six people aged between 15 and 18 were arrested and have since been questioned and released on police bail until Tuesday, May 29 while enquiries continue.
