Man Charged Over Attempted Attack

Police have charged a man in connection with an attempted assault on a woman in Southampton during the early hours of Saturday morning (July 16).
It happened near the Cowherds Pub on The Avenue.
40-year-old Marvin Garner of Butts Close, Southampton has been charged with attempted sexual assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Friday, July 22.
