Man Badly Hurt During Waterlooville Pub Robbery

A man has been left with a serious head injury after being attacked during a robbery at a pub in Waterlooville.

Hampshire Police say sometime between 11.15pm on Friday 18 April and 12.30am on Saturday 19 April, a 62-year-old man was attacked and sustained a serious head injury at The Wellington pub in London Road.

The pub's takings were stolen.
 
Investigating Officer DC Kirsty Burridge said:

"This was a very nasty attack upon a defenceless man shortly after the pub had closed for the evening.
 
"Did you see or hear anyone in the area close to the pub at around this time? Did you see any vehicles entering or leaving the area?"
 
"We would ask any witnesses or anyone with information to contact us as soon as possible."
