Man Attacked By Six Others In New Milton

Officers are appealing for witnesses after an incident where a man was assaulted by six others at around 7.45pm on Saturday, October 8.

The 41-year-old man was involved in an altercation with one of the group, who was on a bike. The altercation took place at the top of Albert Road, next to the alleyway which leads to New Milton train station.

The incident escalated and five others became involved, punching and kicking the man before running off.

The man was unconscious for a short amount of time, and suffered cuts and bruises to his face and body as a result of the incident. He was assisted by members of the public and was treated by ambulance staff.

One of the group was wearing a white hooded jumper.

PC Gary Saunders said:

"This type of incident is rare in New Milton, and I'd like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, or has any information about who may have been involved. It is fortunate the man did not suffer any more serious injuries as a result of the attack and we want to be able to identify those involved as soon as possible."
