Knifepoint Robbery In Portsmouth

A report of a robbery in Portsmouth is prompting an appeal for witnesses.

A 20-year-old man from the city was walking home when he was approached from behind by another man who threatened him with a knife.

Cash was stolen from the victim's wallet during the robbery, which happened in Brookfield Road between 4.50am and 5.20am on Sunday, December 22, 2013. 

The victim received no visible injuries. 

This report is not linked to any other crimes or cases. 

A suspect was described as: 

— Aged in late 20s 

— Approximately 6 ft 2 ins tall 

— Black 

— Medium build 

— He was wearing a black jacket with the collar zipped up underneath his nose. 

— He was also wearing a black woolly hat, jogging bottoms and gloves.
