The victim suffered bruising and swelling to the left side of his face, and reddening to the back of his neck and leg.
One of the men police want to speak to is described as:
- In his mid 40s
- Around 6ft
- Large build
- Short light brown hair
- Spoke with a northern accent
PC Scott Carine, said: “It is believed the offenders were travelling in a light coloured Volvo. Did you see a vehicle matching this description in the area at the time of the attack? Have you been approached by a similar vehicle and offered a lift?
“I would urge anyone with any information about who may be responsible, to contact the police.”
