Last month's heavy snow meant there was a 22 per cent drop in passengers using Southampton Airport.
The company that runs the airport, BAA, says overall the cost of the weather disruption was approximately 24 million pounds.
Of the six aiports BAA operates, passenger numbers at Southampton were hardest hit, with a drop of over a fifth. There was a 9.5% drop in passenger numbers at Heathrow compared to December 2009. At Edinburgh they were down 18.4%, Glasgow fell 15.3%, Stansted was down 10.9% and Aberdeen fell 8.3%.
In total 7-point-2 million passengers passed through the airports in December 2010 - a 10-point-9 percent drop on a year earlier.
