Hampshire Man Going For 'Best Job' Role

Scott Tisson is in the running to land one of the so-called 'best jobs in the world' in Australia.

The 29-year-old from Wickham is one of thousands to apply for the role of wildlife caretaker on Kangaroo Island - he's down to the last 150 candidates.

The job would see him get involved in conservation projects, swim with sea lions and get up close to great white sharks!

Scott told Capital: "It's just a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with some nature you couldn't even imagine to see here.

"I've always had a passion for wildlife and I got the buzz for travelling in 2010 when I spent ten months travelling the world including Australia - I got into photography, videography, blogging - things I never thought I liked and since then it's been my aim to get back out there."

The six-month post comes with a £65,000 salary - finalists are announced on May 15th.

Scott's also abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth this Sunday for charity - click here for more details.
