Man Charged With Bognor Murder

A man's due in court on Friday May 17th, charged with murdering a man who died after being hit by a car in West Sussex.

Charlie Hancock, 20 of Nyetimber Lane, was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, after police received a report of a hit and run incident in Rowan Way, Bognor, at 10pm on Monday May 13th.

He died in hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.

41-year-old Walter Brazil from Collyer Avenue in the town will appear before Worthing magistrates on Friday, charged with his murder.

 Charlie's family said:

"Charlie was a larger than life character who was liked and remembered by everyone who met him. He was fearless, honourable, loving and devoted to his family as a son, brother, uncle and father.
 
"His legacy is that so many of the tears shed by us now, stem from memories of the many times he made us laugh."

Detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team are appealing for witnesses who saw two men having an argument in a grey Chrysler Voyager vehicle in Rowan Way, Bognor, between 9.30pm and 10pm on Monday 13th May, to come forward.
