A tribute's been paid to a woman from Dorset who died when her car went off a cliff on the Isle of Wight.
Police were called by a member of the public to an area west of Compton Chine Farm, Military Road in Brook around 6.40pm on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012 after reports a car had fallen around 200 ft off a cliff.
The driver, 48-year-old Angela Slater from Salterns Way in Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem examination showed she had died of multiple injuries.
Her family said:
"Angela was a beautiful, intelligent, warm, loving person who dedicated her life to the welfare of others, and whose energy and enthusiasm warmed the lives of everyone she touched.
"Her family are deeply shocked and saddened that she left the world in this way.
"At this time they would like the privacy to mourn together, and will not be issuing any further statements or photographs."
Detectives are continuing to investigate her death, but it's not being treated as suspicious.
Officers say the weather conditions are not believed to be a factor in why the car left the road and the case is not being linked to the death of Robert Hayball who died when his van went off a cliff near Sandown.
