Efit Of Attempted Mugger

An appeal for information is being made by police to identify a suspect for an attempted robbery in Portsmouth.

An 18-year-old man was walking along Inhurst Road when he was approached by another man he didn't know at the junction with London Road. 

This second man asked the 18-year-old to light a cigarette and then threatened him with a piece of clear broken glass to hand over his belongings. 

The 18-year-old ran away along London Road before calling the police. He was not assaulted and or hurt. It happened between 3.30am and 3.40am on Saturday, August 4, 2012. Nothing was stolen. 

The suspect was described as: White with a pale complexion, aged in his early 20s, light brown hair 

He was wearing: A dark grey hooded top ,dark jogging bottoms.
