Cyclist Assaulted In Road Rage Attack

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was assaulted in Whitehill, in a road rage attack.

At 6pm on Sunday, January 6 the 38-year-old victim was cycling down Liphook Road towards Whitehill. As he signalled to turn right a vehicle drove past him at speed. He shouted out to the car. The driver of the car stopped, got out, and ran over to the victim. The driver then grabbed him round the neck. After a short time he let go, got in his car and drove off.
 
The man police want to speak to is described as:
- White
- Aged around 25
- Around 5ft 10ins
- Average build

The victim wasn't hurt.
 
PC Adrian Collisson, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident which took place on Liphook Road, Whitehill near to the junction of Forest Road. The location is a busy road linking Whitehill to Passfield and Liphook.
 
“I would urge anyone with any information to come forward and speak to us and help us find the person responsible.”
