Police are appealing for information about a missing laptop belonging to a Totton man.

The 39-year-old was on his way home from the Salmon Leap Pub in Totton in the early hours of Wednesday morning (February 9th) when he became involved in a row with four or five youths outside the Esso garage on Ringwood Road.

As he approached the junction of Water Lane and Bagber Road he saw the youths again. They were in a small red car and threw items including pieces of bread towards him as they passed by.

The man later realised the black Dell laptop he had been carrying in a bag was missing.

DC Dave Brunsden from Lyndhurst CID said: “Police are appealing for anyone who has any information which could help us to recover the laptop to come forward.

“The laptop contained several photographs of the man’s family and so he is obviously very distressed about losing it.”

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact DC Dave Brunsden at Lyndhurst police station on 101 or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
