Woman Beaten And Robbed After Night Out

Police are looking for two men after a woman was beaten up and robbed in Southsea, after a night out.

The 20-year-old woman from Waterlooville and a friend were walking back to their car at around 2.30am on Thursday 15 August.

She was punched in the back of the head and then kicked in the stomach while on the ground in the Kings Street and Gloucester View area.

The woman received cuts and bruises to her head. She received medical attention in hospital.

£35 in cash, a red purse with white polka dots, bank cards and ID documents were stolen from her in the attack.

Two white men, one of them bare-chested, are being treated as suspects..

Investigating officer Detective Constable Andrew Larder said:

"This was a cowardly unprovoked attack on a defenceless woman. We believe someone will know the attackers, and may have seen them or heard about this assault."
