Appeal After Armed Robbery In Southampton

Detectives in Southampton are investigating an armed robbery where a 47 year old local man was threatened with a knife.

It happened in Lyon Street, Southampton sometime between 11pm and 11.30pm on Friday, February 25.

The man was approached by two men and a woman who threatened him with a knife before stealing cash and a gold chain.  He was then assaulted and suffered lacerations above his right eye along with bruises and a bump to his head.

The offenders are described as:

  • White woman
  • Aged approximately 30 years
  • Medium build
  • 5ft 7ins tall 
  • Brown curly hair 
  • She was wearing a white top.

The two men were both white.  One was slim with short dark hair while the other had short blonde hair.  One of the men was also wearing a hoody and possibly a hat.

Police are appealing for witnesses or information about who is responsible.  Information should be given by contacting PC Kerry Burnham at Shirley CID on 101 or the Crimestoppers charity hotline anonymously on 0800 555 111.
