Girl Hurt In Hit And Run

Police are appealing for information after a woman was injured in a hit-and-run collision in Fawley.

The 18-year-old was knocked down on Blackfield Road at around 9.40pm last night (Thursday, December 22). 
 
The vehicle involved left the scene without stopping. 
 
The woman had been crossing the road close to the alleyway which leads to Heather Road. 
 
She suffered serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. 
 
PC Colin Green from the Totton Roads Policing unit said:  “We are following up some CCTV enquiries in the area but would like to hear from any witnesses. 
 
“I’m appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or for the driver responsible to come forward.”
