MUSIC fans are being urged to rock on down to Hamilton Park Racecourse as the venue announces an iconic headline act for its 2017 Music Festival Racenight on Saturday 2 September.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals, fronted by the inimitable Huey Morgan, will headline the Lanarkshire venue’s second music festival, giving thousands of guests a rare chance to hear classic tunes like ‘Scooby Snacks’ and ‘The Fun Lovin’ Criminal’ live.

Fresh from a host of European festival tour dates, the multi-platinum New Yorkers will perform live at the grand finale of Hamilton Park’s ground-breaking Super Saturdays series. A first in UK racing, the events offer racegoers an unforgettable all-day experience with entertainment followed by live evening racing, and further entertainment until late.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals burst onto the worldwide music scene in 1996 with their debut album, Come Find Yourself, and are known for their unique blend of rock, funk and hip-hop.

Rock band Cast have also been announced and will be performing music from their new album ‘Kicking up the Dust’, as well as massive hits ‘Walkaway’ and ‘Fine Time’.

The amazing La Fontaines will be returning this year, as well as Paisley’s finest, The Vegan Leather, will also rock the venue alongside an array of talented musicians – Tribute act -Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Carpets, Carly Connor, and Stray Cats DJ’s., before and after racing with the main stage kicking off from 12noon with live music right through to 11pm.

With just weeks to go, the event promises visitors a unique experience of live music and top class racing, set against the stunning backdrop of Hamilton Park Racecourse.

Tickets are also available at www.ticketweb.co.uk. Student tickets are priced at £15. Children under-18 go free. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

The event runs from 12 noon to 11pm with the first race at 4.15pm.
