RULES

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/ apply to ‘Beat the Beep 2017’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 08/01/18 to 26/01/18 (the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is Capital FM.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

Details of the Competition:

To enter the Competition an Entrant must listen to Capital FM Scotland weekday Breakfast show from 6am – 10am

Each day in the Breakfast show an audio clip of song will be played, listeners will have to identify the track and call the studio with the correct answer to play.

Opening and closing times will be given out on air.

Listeners must call the studio when prompted to enter on 03452777106 and 1 caller will be selected at random to come to air.

The caller must correctly identify the song, and if they do they will get the chance to play ‘Beat the Beep’. If the caller gives and incorrect answer we will pick another caller at random, until we have a caller with the correct answer to play ‘Beat the Beep’.

All winning entrants will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air.

A pre-recorded series of increasing & decreasing cash amounts will be played out. The contestant will have to shout out “STOP” before the beep sound is played in order to keep the last cash amount played out.

If the contestant fails to shout ‘STOP’ before the beep sound effect begins to play, they will lose the game & go away empty handed/ the cash amount up for grabs for the day will be lost.

If the contestant shouts “STOP” on a cash amount, they will then be given the choice to keep that cash amount or take one further move in the series.

If the contestant chooses to keep the first amount played out, they will win that cash amount.

If the contestant chooses to take one more step forward in the sequence, the presenter will play the next amount in the pre-recorded series, and the contestant will win that cash amount.

If the next thing played out in the series is the beep sound effect, they will lose the original cash amount & go away empty handed.

15. The producer’s decision is final in all cases.

The prize amounts will be determined in advance by the Capital Scotland Breakfast producer.
