Decision on Rangers Future Closer
It's been reported Craig Whyte's another step closer to completing a takeover at Rangers
Sources say he's reached a deal to buy the club from Sir David Murray.
It's thought the initial agreement will wipe out the club's 18 million pound debts with the banks but several points surrounding the deal were still to be ratified with Murray International Holdings this morning.
Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston predicted on Friday that there would be some finality on the deal, one way or another, within ``the next couple of days''.
But he also admitted the Rangers board were not closely involved in negotiations and Whyte's team continue to insist that no deadline will be set for the deal to be completed.
