Woman Raped In Glasgow Park

A 20 year old woman was raped in Victoria Park during the early hours of Friday.

The attacked happened between 1am and 2am.

An area near the pond was cordoned off as police investigated, with forensic teams seen at the scene.

The park is located between Jordanhill and Whiteinch, near the entrance to the Clydeside Expressway.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police Scotland received a report of a serious sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman in Victoria Park, Glasgow between 1am and 2am on Friday, May 12.

"Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident."
