Three people in court after £625,000 worth of drugs seized

Three people have appeared in court after police seized more than £600,000 worth of drugs.

Police found around 20 kilos of what is believed to be herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £300,000 in a Transit van which they stopped on the M74 on Friday.

Two men, aged 21 and 43, were arrested in connection with the seizure.

They also searched a property in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, and discovered more than three kilos of what is believed to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of £325,000.

They arrested a 46-year-old woman in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Gerrard Molloy, 43, Connor Molloy, 21, and Michelle Molloy, 46, were charged with drugs offences when they appeared at Lanark Sheriff Court on Saturday.

None of them entered a plea and they were all released on bail.
