SFA Chief Warns Clubs Against No Vote

SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan claims if Rangers Newco are not voted into the first division, it will have dire consequences for the game.

His statement comes after the SPL voted against the Newco entering the top flight.

Regan says refusal to enter the New Company into the First division will cost the SPL £15 million, and will result in a "Slow lingering death" for Scottish football.

SFL clubs will meet next Thursday (12th) to decide which league the club will play in next season, if at all.

The 3 options are: Place the Newco into the first division; Enter the Newco at the bottom of the pyramid in division 3; Or refuse entry to the league set up altogether.
